has any one repalced heater channels and is it a big under taking to do.
i need some input on whether to do them my self or have the v.w. shop do it.

Can you weld?

If you can then you should be able to do channels. Its a big job. but totally achievable if you take your time and do some research.

I too am going to replace my channels in a few days. I bought the Bug Me Vidos on both replacing pan and channels. I believe it's money well spent.

thanks for the link

on the video does it tell you to do the floor pan first or last

i have m passenger pan out and am thinking it might be easier to do the heater channel first. thjink thsat is a smart move. or should i do the floor pan first?

I e-mailed Rick Higgins, the maker of the video, he said to "take the pans out first to give you more room to work and install them last." My problem was my channels are 80% bondo. I'm pretty sure my floor pan bolts are surrounded by the bondo.

The video does a very good job of covering things like spot weld removal, triming the pans, and body panel replacement.
