I would like to take advantage of the summer weather and 2-tone paint my 69 standard.
What type of primer should I use? The cheapest?
Should I also use a 150 grit sandpaper to prep my car for primer? My original color is off white and looking to 2 tone it with baby blue and white(or is that too common)?. Any suggestions on 2 tone schemes?
Thanks for your help.

The cheaper the primer the cheaper the job will look. You should use a 2 part epoxy primer. That alows you do to one area at a time over a several month period. It is a weather or waterproof primer. BUT it's not cheap. Primer, catalist , reducer = just under $90 a quart . Thats for everything .
