Does anyone know how difficult it would be to convert a 16single to a 16dual...is it as easy as changing the heads and intake manifold? Any help would be great, thanks,

Sean

About the only other change would be that you would need to replace the upper cylinder tin for the different shaped DP heads. And if it's not there on your block, a longer stud where the DP intake manifold bolts to the block. Of course, the carb won't fit without an adapter, the intake manifold on DP is set up for a 34mm carb, and the SP is 30mm.

2 studs on each side right above the dual port intake holes in head are too long and need to be replaced .

when i switched over from single to dual i cut a lil off of the 2 longer studs and used washers for spacers to tighten down the heads. this worked for me for years. that was the cheap version.

but to do it correctly you should replace the top 2 middle head studs with shorter ones.

good luck
