|
|
I painted my 59 vert about 1.5 years ago with single stage Acrylic enamel urethene. About 20 minutes ago I ran over some piece of crap in the road and it punched three holes in the rear fender!!!!!!
My question is can I repair the damage and then blend in the paint???
I still have some of the paint left in the can.
Need advice. My Fathers day is crap now!!
Thanks

You'll be better off by removing the fender, repairing the area, and repainting the whole thing if you have enough paint. You didn't say if it was a solid or metalic color, but trying to blend anything other then a solid color is pretty tough.

Thank God it is a solid Red.
I guess I will have to repaint the whole thing!
I was hoping to not have to.
Thanks

shake the paint ALOT!
put it in a paint shaker for a few min. take it to a paint shop if you have to.
red has very high solids in it and they settle to the bottom of the can over time.
jps1145, is right, take off the fender, and re-paint the whole thing.
bummer about the damage ! _________________ cut, hammer, weld, drive.
not necessarily in that order. |
