The outside of my window seals on my '73 are shot. Since its paint job time for me, I figured now's a good time for replacement. What scares me is that the headliner tucks behind the rubber seals (rear and side windows) on the inside. What happens when the windows are removed? Will the headliner stay in place? Will it collapse inward and make a big mess? Thanks for any insight on this one.

The headliner will most likely stay put if it's been there awhile. I'd say it's probably stuck to the paint or glued in place. When you pull the old rubber out, pull it from the out side of the car. This will help minimize anything pulling loose. Even if it does pull loose, it will already be creased and easy to fold back into place.

Cool. That's kinda what I was hoping. I didn't know if there was a good bit of tension on the liner at that point or not. Thanks.
