Question about 56 beetle lights.

Did 56 beetles have little bullet directional lights on the sides of the front fenders, or just the skinny directionals on the tops of the front fenders, or both? Any input would be great. Thanks.

1956-57 Beetles had either the bullet-style signals on the side of the fenders or semaphores. Beetles never had turn signals on the top fenders until the 1958 model
