I haven't raced yet. But, it's been dynoed. The engine's a only a 1776. I wanted reliability, not thinking at the time that I wasn't gonna drive cross country. and it has a freeway flier tranny so we dynoed it in 3rd gear: 114 horses & 116 torque

for some reason flames have never looked good on the beetle It might be that the car is too round and too small for flames to work

I kinda like the look with all the overiders on the front bumper. It matches your car. Looks a lot like a 50' Buick.

It's no problem at all. The most common question is does it get hot in th suumer? not really, but it' cold as shit in the winter.
