I just picked up a 73 Thing close to home. It was 3 hrs away and I towed it back with our Dodge mini-van and tow bar. Weather was clear but cold at -28C with the wind chill....brrrr
As it sits in my shop after removing rear swing out tire mount and ugly side mount mirrors.
Floors are rock solid but there is a little rust inside the rockers and around the jack points. Paint and stickers are original and I plan to leave it the way it is and make it a nice driver. Everything is original down to the motor, transmission, seats and even the top that will eventually need to be replaced due to a few rips and tears.
The ironic thing is I have been searching for a white 73 for years and this one pops up close to home.

Well done!! Those are the best shows, and best trophies ever! A brand new, factory car, just doesn't have the same appeal...
I bet if you look closely at the nose of your Thing, you'll see the perfect imprint of a step bumper from a pickup! Lol... If your car is from Texas, then that imprint will likely have a dealers name stamped in it! Lol...... Just my theory, the shape of the dent spoke to me.
Good job on the show!

NICE Award! Good Job!
the Dent give it some Character.
BTW, is it my eyes or do the wheel bolt patterns look like a ford/chevy pattern and not a Wide 5? _________________ ****************************************
