|
just pulled it out of the garage today for the first time since going under the knife! this is the second time I have owned this car! I first saw it for sale on the samba when chris seeger of L5-VW in oregon found it...but I was too late, frank matos of bremerton,wa beat me to it! he later called me when Seeger told him I was still interested in it, we struck a deal and it was mine for a few months. then, Barndoor Dave talked me out of it..I was sad to see it go but recently made a trade and it was returned to me!
this body is very straight for a ghia! It still has the original title and bill of sale from riviera motors and a huge stack of records, and the plate on it is the original one registerd to this car!! I also have all of the paperwork including the original recipt for the rajay kit! original rader wheels (thanx to everett), original rajay turbo kit on a 1600 single port! the crustiest of original cognac and beige grey paint! volksfab 4" beam, CB spindles, dropped 1 inner spline in the rear! I still have a few minor bits to finish before I can take it on the road! then, I will most likely post it for sale...

I'm starting to get little wafts of bus stink coming from the north. Something about the unique scent of drivers seat padding when it's glued together with mouse piss and shit that really gets me going... and I'm smelling it! Oh yeah! Time to start loading up the equipment. |

Are you going to leave the finish how it is? It would look sweet if you buffed it out a bit.. |

Your stinger(?) looks crazy low |
it's not a stinger, it is the exit pipe for the rajay kit...unfortunatelly someone modified it with one of those 70's "megs" exhaust tips, I am looking for a "stock" rajay exit pipe:

I saw that posted in the gallery and was super impressed. With the patina, og raders, the rajay kit and that sweet stance, i think it's the perfect package. Thanks for sharing! |

here is a interior shot.... I have not finished the engine install/detail yet, I am not shure what to do about the interior! I am thinking it would be sweet to fully restore the interior with WCC upholstery!!
but I think I am going to sell the car before that happens.

very coolio
you turned that around pretty quick - you can't of had it much more than a month?
i'd say keep the interior - or someone can replace with better originals as they find them
paint it? can i politely direct Ms. Priss to the patina thread on the split bus forum _________________ -StockRocks- |
