how do I removal the fan housing? It would seem to be held together where the engine hanger and the breather are and i can't see how to seperate them. Sure to be a simple procedure, I'm just not seeing it!

There are 2 dowel pins in the corners, underneath. There are a couple places where you can get a screw driver in to pry. Just make sure you do have all the bolts out.

I've got it loose and it wants to seperate apart, but the 2 halves are being held together where the engine hanger/breather is. How do I seperate here? I've undone the bolts where the breather support connects to the case, it's all loose there as well.

Right under that hanger, there is a bolt, and a dowel pin. the dowel pin is for alignment but will hold it together unless you pry a little.

Just get a cheapy puller. If you have a Harbor Freight in your area, they sell them for like $6.95.
Woops, they don't have the 6.95 one listed anymore, but they have a $10.95 complete set.

Just DON"T pry on the fan. You will bend it,
While it is off, check the center hub for looseness. The fan is mounted in rubber.
