Yes, of course OG is better....
But,
If i find a wheel only,
and want to mount it in a car and drive *gasp*
I can use the aftermarket hub and button the Lord blesses me with an OG hub and button, right?
The aftermarket hub and button have the same bolt patten, etc. in order to fit and work _________________ Bus Motor Build

yes the aftermarket hubs and horn ring from samba user EMPIGT aka adam will work and the hornbutton's from KOCH's will fit perfect. They are making repop hornbutton's from the phillipines but I haven't had one of those yet to see if they fit right. Good luck and here's the links:

So guys, what is a fair price for a mint universal at this time? I am after one and don't want to be insulting but don't want to overspend either; I have lots of parts to purchase. |

Real Empi universal wheels ARE stamped. Eelco also made them for American cars as well which are NOT stamped Empi. They're technically the same exact wheel but only one of them is a "real" empi wheel. I've owned both and love them! |

I know this is areal old thread however how do you identify a original EMPI GT Steering wheel. Is it by dimensions, stamping on back side of center spokes, what else? |

All steering wheels sold through empi had the empi stamp on the spokes with the exception of the carriage/vdm wheel and the Empi riverside wheel that
