Are they, I could sarew I have red amp 8 volt fuses, ok thats why I said go for it, you srue all white fuses are 8..... thats odd... hmmm..

Because you need to run the right amp for everything to work right, or you will get a short, keep burning the amp or cause spark... run what its suppose to have.

Well... i might be wrong. My memory isn't what it used to be.

But anyway, you should use the correct fuse... here's why:

If you replace with a larger fuse you could overload the supply wires and cause them to overload and maybe start a fire.

If you replace with a smaller fues, it will probibly blow when you turn on your headlights or whatever is in the circut.

German fuses have a color coded standard.
White = 8 amp
Red = 16 amp
Black = 25 amp
Blue = 30 amp
Do not interchange them.

Just take all the white ones out and replace them with blue ones. Then your fuses will never blow and your lights will be brighter.

Why bother with fuses. Just put a .22lr shell in place of each fuse. That way your fuses will never blow Twisted Evil

The 25amp fuses in my 914 are blue. They even have a 25 molded in them. Question

I bought a pack last week at G.I.Joes and they were blue. Maybe that's the problem right there Wink

I probably had those last 2 wrong. I was working from memory, and I am getting "oldtimers". Switch them around, blue =25 and black = 30.
No stock AC VW needs those 2 anyway.

Hell... it could be worse.

When I bought my house 20 years ago my home inspector found a penny behind 2 of the fuses in the electric box.

Needless to say, i upgraded them to quarters Wink
