Rometsch Beeskow's come with very similar reflectors...
Mine say K1291 on them...
Here is another type I found ... Not sure what these are from but they were available in Clear and or Red glass. I bought a bunch of them for about 2 dollars each and gave them to friends... I presume they are on barndoors now... as this was about 10 years ago.
and here is the clear version

When I was looking for reflectors for my bus years ago I was shown a reflector that I was told definitely came off a 51 bus. I wanted to buy it, but as there was only one and I needed 2 I couldn't decide. Typically it sold. a couple of months ago I saw another exactly the same for sale on here so I bought it
There isn't any writing on the lens. The engraving on the rim J.R.U.16 can be found on the lens of some 55-57 hella reflectors so it must be hella.
Just need one more now.... _________________

I’m wondering if anyone can tell me what a April 55 Wolfsburg bus would have had. I’ve always thought that it would have had the K1221 reflectors, but someone told me early post barndoor 55s had the large diamond reflectors? Anyone have the answer? |

here is a different reflector that has the same markings as 55-57 reflectors
the one on the right you can see that the glass is bulging past the bezel |

So, after looking at loads of different reflectors since I started this thread, I thought I'd add a few things.
It would appear that different countries had slightly different reflectors. Maybe they were added at the dealership?
As we know, 54-55 barndoors were fitted with the large diamond Frese reflectors:
Are they all the thinner style?
Pre 54 barndoors seem to have a variety of different small diamond reflectors depending on which country they started life in.
Is it safe to say that they would all have been the thicker style?
Early thick R5K reflector:
There appears to be a thin R5K reflector too, were these fitted to 55-57 U.S. spec buses only?
Please add any photos of reflectors so we can try and understand all the differences _________________
