Sambadude--Truly a work of art. A beautiful example of VW's finest. Our early models here in Aus. had the marker lamps where yours are,but also had the early style wide stainless moulding in the same position on the guard.Did you weld up any trim holes? Well done on the resto. |

did weld trimholes - but in one of the rear fenders, the front fenders where both NOS N model fenders , one og them had been painted black tho - but never been mounted..
started out with the car looked like this , rusty front fenders and shitty , but org paint...
there where i little rust behind the rear fenders
and assembled it to go for a perfect fit before i diseampled it for new layer of fresh paint..
and lowered a bit to much , at my first try - I have had severel other aircooled volkswagens , but this is my first type3
and then i found out that my 5 spokes where to girly , so i bourght a set of berms instead
and then i stripped the whole body , before sending it to the paintshop ,
don't have a pic off that , sorry
and now it look like this
the whole operation was done in less than 4 month i gees, it was actully an easy projekt - compared to some of my other cars .
my next projekt is my US import 13w de luxe, that probely gonna take a year to restore to the same condition as the notch...
but looking forward to begin on that one
The notch have been sold to a close friend now, but will bee cruising the danish roads next summer......
I loooved the car - bus splitbusses is my thing. and they cost BIG $ to restore, so sadly it had to go
thats why _________________ Click to view image

Great work on a killer ride.
I especially like how you posted all the pictures in one post, instead of making a new post for each picture just to increase the number of your posts.
Keep up the good work and good luck on the bus. |
