Hi. I'm a regular at the STF, but thesamba is pretty cool. Here's my 67.
It's getting a 1914 CB single 48 drla blow thru system with a t57 garrret turbo; turbosmart wastegate, bov and eboost2 controller; a Rancho pro street plus tranny. RLR Roll bar set up, CB wide five brakes.
Here's my 70. 1911 T4 conversion. The next motor will be a 2600cc T4 with a turbo set up.

I had originally thought of a different wheel, but after I bought the car from my cousin, I asked him about the Radars; he liked the 5 spokes, so since he never had the chance to fix up the car, I gave the 5 spokes a try. I loved them as soon as I put them on. He'll get to see the car this weekend for the first time since I bought it from him. I love the rack! LOL!.

i don't really like 67's normally but that thing is sick, and sure as hell going to scream with that turbo motor in it. can you still run a decklid with that turbo setup? |

It will fit with the decklid on (no stand-offs). Here's the last pic i have of it uninstalled.
As we speak it'll have a bigger turbo, and new up pipe. Once it's finished it'll look somewhat like this...
Thanks. |

Thank you for the kind words. I've never received so many compliments about my VW's until I bought this one less than 2 months ago. Almost every day when I go in or out of a store someone stops me to talk about my car. It's trully flattering. I can't wait to get the turbo goodies back from my fabricator (Marty Staggs). The header will have black ceramic coating good for over 2500 degrees.
I'll post more pics soon.
Take care,
Eddie. |
