Here the ones I Drove:
68 Beetle - Flat white all original 'cept the paint and the back window(Transmission went out and I wanted a ghia more than I wanted to fix it)
71 Ghia Coupe Faded red, banged up, missing pieces, horrible interior, but very loved (rain+truck+69 chevelle = no more ghia)
74 Super Metallic Green, good interior and engine, lots of stereo equipment (Parents sold out from under me when I lent it to my brother for the summer... still had all my stereo equipment in it.... even if you are under 18 DO NOT let your parents title your car in their name for cheaper insurance...)
73 Ghia Coupe Confiscated in a police auction, fixed the bullet holes and brought it back from the dead. Heavily modified, but with mostly stock look... it is currently under the knife for brakes and engine. (Still own)
69 Westy Blue on blue hotness. Sink, Fridge, card table, Pop-top, walk through. (This was my Wife's bus...she sold it for Simon and Garfunkel Tickets and because she wanted to wait and get an older project once we had more space) _________________ I love it when a guy covered in tattoos tells me I should keep my Ghia "All Original" |

86 Vanagon, 63 Microbus, 61, 65 Bugs, 58 Ghia. In past owned a 67 sunroof, a 74 super convertable. and a 58 Bug.
i also have three 914's, a 356C (used to have a 356B) and somehow a triumph got in the mix.
So total for the VW's is 8, with five currently owned (and only one runs now!) |

First batch - 1962-1973
1959 sunroof (wish I still had it!)
1967 Bug (turned it into a dune buggy after rust took over)
1965 Ghia Hardtop
1966 Ghia Hardtop (paid $1.00)
1966 Ghia (paid $100.00)
1973 Super Beetle convertible (bought new)
1971 Super Beetle (restored professionally - not by me!)
1979 Rabbit Diesel (loved that car - but wrecked it)
1980 Rabbit gas (nothing but trouble)
Present batch - 2001-Present I got back into it because I have a son who at 16 wanted to restore one (what better way to keep in contact with them? - he's now going to school for autobody)
1973 Bug (Son's first car - now sold)
1968 Bug - bought on Ebay cheap and still driving it.
1968 Bug - son restoring it - found in local rag 1.5 miles from home and
bought for $150.00.
1971 Westfalia - bought at a local horsefarm and restored - son's baby.
1968 Ghia - bought through local rag from 50 miles away. Under restoration.
Even though I had a 20 year hiatus from ACVW's I enjoy them more now than ever.

All Karmann Ghias for me as I've never actually owned
another VW air-cooled model.
1974 KG 'vert, Olympic Blue
1973 KG 'vert, Burgandy
1974 KG 'vert, Amber
1974 KG 'vert, Olympic Blue
I've forgotten how many parts cars (1964-74),
so they're not included.
