This is my ride. It's a 66 with earlier taillights(from a 59 I had and sold) and license light ($5 at BugOut swap meet), shaved turn signals relocated in headlight buckets. H-4 headlights with extra bulb for running lights which are green. Driving lights behind horn grills. Serious rake job due to lowered adjustable 2" narrowed beam (Paid $50 at BUG OUT swap meet, Thanks!), KYB shocks, Disc brakes in front (later will do rear), 1776cc (Built by Quality German Auto), Dual Weber 44 IDFs, 042 heads, engle 110 cam, lightened flywheel, Pertronix ignition w/ 009 distr, header with phat boy muffler (every once in awhile I'll run a stinger) , Still stock tranny w/ solid mounts (will replace later with modified unit when funds are available). A lot to list, but most you can see from the pics. This has been totally dissasembled, body off resto Kustom as you can see. I did all the work except for paint which was done in 1 day due to time crunch. Had to move out of shop within a couple weeks. The paint (yes it is paint! I get annoyed when people ask me what or when am I going to get it painted!) It is US Marine Corp Forest Green. Very inexpensive paint! Well this is it! There's so much I've done to my dub, I could fill a whole page of the things I've done, but that's all part of the process. I do consider this a low budget job. So to all of you out there who can't afford to send your vdub out to get all the work done by the professionals... Here's proof you don't need to have big money.
