|
|
How important is it for the metal throttle cable end to be jammed into the bell of the pass through tube? I was working completely blind and could not get it inserted into the tube, especially when the tube pushes through into the engine compartment with any pressure. TIA. _________________ 1973 Kansas Beige Super Beetle |

It could bind or rub and get cut in half. _________________ Glenn

Originally there was a rubber grommet there.

Thanks Max. I like that. Thanks Glenn also. Yeah, my grommet disintegrated. If I stopped and ordered every time something fell apart, I'd never get it done. I guess the key is to anticipate what will be an issue. _________________ 1973 Kansas Beige Super Beetle

Or patch it to keep it running and then plan on fixing all the issues when you have time. _________________ Glenn

I wish there was a way to "patch" the gap with the heat risers after the bolts snapped. That's the most annoying problem now. I started to drill the studs out but got nowhere. Maybe a new muffler would be easier. _________________ 1973 Kansas Beige Super Beetle |
