I can honestly say the only time I have ever used Binnacle in a sentence was to describe that contour in a 1303 Super Beetle dash where the speedo sits.
Anyway in the spirit of anti-spam I don't think I've seen this mk1 Landrovagen/ volksrover

This thing would have been a lot cooler done with a Buick Aluminum V8 up front and live rear axle. Range Rover used that casting for their V8, so it would have been brand specific, sounded bad ass and might have been worth the money they're asking. |

I saw this on another forum and felt inclined to steal it. I'm kinda reaching with this one. Not a VW but an actual veture between Porsche and Studebaker.
Quote: |
In the mid-1950's Studebaker and Porsche looked at producing a rear engined Studebaker, but that project fell through. This 1960 Lark has a 1.5 liter Porsche engine that most likely came from that earlier joint project. The little engine made the vehicle terribly underpowered and the idea ended with the car you see above. This car is on display in the basement of the National Studebaker Museum in South Bend. This car was a project of Curtis-Wright probably because of the soon to be Corvair. |

That's true, but I am pretty sure I saw that picture a few years before I even had the internet. That would be around 2000. _________________ nothing |
