I like the way they kept everything stock-appearing, down to the hub caps on those decidedly not stock rear rims!

There has got to be a lot of flex/twist on that frame since it does not have a roll cage and the body isn't bolted on.

I don't see a full cage. There is a roll bar behind the front seats. No door bars or cage in the front behind the firewall. It has the support bars from the firewall to the front of the frame. _________________ ()o\|/o() |

Look again. The bars coming from the top corners of dash are black. You can see how it runs over their heads and the rear view mirror is hanging from it. As for the door bars, they may be removable. _________________ Formerly known in the forums as "OVALTEEN"

That's interesting- the Revell "VW Street Machine" model has a very faint outline on the roof where a ragtop would go, I guess it's there because of this molding. _________________ '60 Canadian Standard, '64 Bug, another '64 Bug, '66 Bug, '69 Sunroof Bug, '69 GT3 Bug, '71 Super, '72 Super, '73 Canadian Custom, '74 Love Bug, '83 Mexi Bug, '85 Cabrio, '94 Mexi Bug, '99 New Beetle, '02 New Beetle Turbo S, '03 New Beetle VR6. I LIKE IT. Maybe if it was my build, would have done the tail lights a bit differently, but cool car. _________________ D-Dubya Manx clone - 63 Short pan,1914.
