Looks like someone built another Jurgens autovilla replica,

A guy here in Aus has just finished building one from scratch, he brought it to the big VW show on last weekend, pretty impressive work, he has a build thread on aussieveedubbers.

I wonder if it rubs?

It doesn't rub. It belongs to and was built by a friend of mine. It started as a crusty 73 standard bug. He built the frame from scratch, chopped and channeled it, widened the wide 5 steelies for those big meathooks all in his little shop. It sports a blown 350. It's not really an abortion IMO, the quality of it is top-notch.

I agree it does not look like an abortion, I'd love to see a build thread, or at least more pictures.
A lot of folks see ratrods as a excuse for crappy low quality work. That is clearly not true here, at least from the one photo.

This one belonged to the late John Dixon of the Tajma Garaj in Dayton, OH. He loved wild cars along with his unbelievable collection of rare Porsches.

That's some serious Cincy Bengals love right there! I think they did a great job on the paint matching to the helmet stripes. Love the license too. a little Steve Miller reference? Not a Bungles fan, but I would roll the hell out of that! 90's style and all
