you are insane if you think that belongs here!!!!!!!!!
Here is the build thread for this car http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=482756&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0

What we all need to remember is that this thread isnt called "Hideous Hacks" or something like that. Its "Bastards and Abortions" and I and others take it to mean radical mods, cars made from various models/makes, other "one off builds" as well as hideous hacks.....

Yeah - technically buggies fit here. I post some of my own builds on here allthough I go through great lengths for taste and style.

So - relax, look and have fun.

Dang, I didn't think that posting an amazing workmanlike bastard like the Barris T would be so controversial!

Here's one that will hopefully bring consensus, a hunting buggy:

"built from the ground up using a VW front end and a North American Raceco transaxle. It's got a 200hp fuel inject Toyota V6 in the rear, auto trans and power steering. Hauls 8 people, 12 dog's and 12 guns in King Ranch scabbards and 2 built in coolers, racks for water coolers and an extra tank for dog water."

Some think that if your beetle has a padded dash, it's an engine donor. Some think that if it has push button door handles, it's a boat anchor.

Does any one know, which kind of "VW front end"? Probably bus, but which type? Any more technical information, more pics or details?

Well done on the post order of the pics Very Happy
I saw the first one and thought "Hmmm....that isn't so terribly bad"
Then the second one with the upright cooling made me think "what a waste of cargo space".
Then the third with the air conditioner sent everything off the rails and it just became a trainwreck after that Confused Shocked

It's a still from an old VW ad.
"The Volkswagen seals up so tight, you have to roll down a window to sneeze..."
