True
Except it's SUPER easy to translate those written out numbers back to real numbers and grab it anyway.
It's sort of like having a club on your steering wheel.
It can be beat but it's more about a deterrent.
Except imagine there's a criminal who, if he chooses to, can remove the club in 0.000000001 seconds in any way you can think of with no damage. _________________ How to Post Photos

Notice the panel ass tacked on the back and the performance front valance. I would roll this after redoing the interior and changing the ugly yellow color. What do you think the switch box on the floor is for?

The box with the two wires coming out? Looks to me like the backside of a SWR-meter, used to trim a CB-radios antenna. _________________ Sorry, if my english is not the best, as I´m from Germany. Last englishlesson was in school, more than 25 years ago. I hope, Google translator will be my help. |

I thought maybe it was a switch for the "2 SPEED AUTO BOX" in his description. Whatever that is. I am assuming an auto trans since it doesn't have a shifter. I think his price is about 5K too high. It might as well be all rusty with how much bodywork it needs to bring it back to original. _________________ ~Tarzan

Mind blowing ingenuity employed in this broken transaxle mount "repair"! (From a 64 Beetle build thread in the forums.)

Probably a Corvair 6 behind a 2 speed Powerglide tranny. Bulletproof, but inefficient! |

Someone mentioned these pics I posted in the Type 3 forum should have probably gone here instead. I can't argue with that, so here they are. It belongs to a guy a couple blocks down the street from me. I am working on getting it for the spare parts I can either use or sell. Afterwards the carcass is destined for the scrap yard.

Complete covering of fibreglass. No I don't understand it either.
All photos taken at Bug Jam yesterday. _________________

Some think that if your beetle has a padded dash, it's an engine donor. Some think that if it has push button door handles, it's a boat anchor.

Must be his version of rustproofing.
Also, that tractor is funny as hell. Completely pointless, and fantastic at the same time. _________________ nothing |

Yeah most of these were in the "rust and rat" display, so were built for deliberate shock factor. The slammed tractor was a fairly simple build, they just unbolted the reduction gears from either side of the rear axle and re-fitted them upside-down. _________________

Not a power booster, since there's no DC wiring. With only the two SO-239 connections it it's either a power meter or an SWR bridge.
