Some think that if your beetle has a padded dash, it's an engine donor. Some think that if it has push button door handles, it's a boat anchor.

I'm fashioning some bumpers out of recycled faux knotty pine baseboard trim...

Yes, I must pass 7-9 rollovers on the half mile trip to the grocery store... All of them convertibles....

All convertibles should have roll bars.... Maybe ALL cars should have them!

Where is Ralph Nader when you need him!

If I put pool noodles over pvc pipe, will that work for a roll bar?

This is border line hideous. Those look like rear fenders on the front and the way the hood is frenched just looks weird.

The hood being frenched was a result of using those modern headlights. I had purchased some Mini Cooper headlamps and was going to put them on my 71 vert but the housings were so long it would have meant bumping out the front of the fenders just like that guy did. Gave up the idea and sold the lamps and steel buckets to a guy doing a Ghia where they work fine.

Really? It was a clown car, do people really get that upset about a joke? It was also a home made/abortion Beetle so seemed to fit the theme of the thread.

Looks like a well done car. Those do look like rear fenders on the front, though.
