That would draw a crowd at Havasu! Smile

Call me crazy, I'd put a real door on it, lay it out on the ground and drive it to camp in. That thing is cool as hell. I think it is the funniest thing I've seen in a while and I would laugh my ass off if I saw it going down the road.

Same here. That thing is just ugly enough to make me look better by being seen in it.

I wonder if it was ever on the road? Not much in the way of headlights or clearance lights for a vehicle that wide.

Or mirrors, or any evidence that they were ever installed.

I wonder what is lurking underneath? It seems as though the wheels have been moved back with the stretch so it doesn't seem to accommodate a longer engine.

My heart sank a little bit when I saw this in the classifieds. Could any of this be factory?

It doesn't say WHICH factory Wink Lot's of leg room in the back. Looks like a mid/late '60s mod. Coulda been made from a light roll-over or hit in the rear car. Seen like I have seen a similar one here in SoCal a few years ago. Check this link for fun Cool http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=397003

Looks like a lot of boat parts in that top and fiberglass work on the car. It also looks like the top would whip itself to death if you drove it over 20.

Looks like it has been sprayed with that "rust reformer" stuff you find in rattle cans at the local FLAPS.

Posting it here had more to do with the rack than the bus. Wink

Wonder how well that handles/traction with motorcycle tires on it? I've seen rods use motorcycle tires up front but that's the first time I've seen them on back as well.

It probably handles like a car with no suspension travel and very little traction, but with those skinny assed tires and massive turbo horsepower I bet it'll put on a smoke show off the line.

One pic so the post isn't completely worthless:

I actually like this one, primarily because they don't take it too seriously. I think it might actually be fun to have this one.
