Why anyone would use a 2.8 for anything other than a boat anchor, I don't understand.

It is really nice, BUT they used a fucking type 1 engine. That is my #1 issue with most of these bug trucks out there. I know you cant put much in the bed of one of these trucks anyway, but a set of type 3 tins would have gone a loooooooooooooong way. They could have put in a full length bed. That would have put this thing over the top. It's a bitchen truck, super well done, but once you look in the bed, it just kills it for me.

I think we talked about this before Laughing I totally understand your point, but I did the same thing with the woodie and doing it again with the bug hearse. Using a pancake just would be too easy. Laughing

That thing is sooooo hideous I keep staring at the back fender well/tire/wheel relationship Shocked One of the worst I've seen. You can actually see the tail light hole in the first picture.... And it looks like the rear trailing arm is loose. .. Laughing

Yes it needs some wide rims & tires outback .. but I'd drive that to work everyday (I grew up drooling over the Mulholland Look in the old VW mags in the early 80's Embarassed

I went back and looked at that green Super a few times - I like that look - really clean.

And the comment about the holes in the rear fenders - looks like an early test drive - look at all the parts in the back seat and lack of glass. Personally think the kid did a nice job. The whale tail isnt my cup of tea, but overall not too bad....
