Crazy $$$ for a huge unfinished project?! It seems like the bigger the project, the more money people ask... Regardless of what bus it is _________________ "Relax and just enjoy the ride knowing everybody passing is wishing they had one." |

I hope that I will be able to watch this go down in price or not sell. I have been working a 15 window deal but can't get a price, if the lady surfs this ad then my 15 window dreams are sunk. It is much nicer than this project.
Call me crazy but I wouldn't give 2500 for that bus in all those pieces. |

Nice to see a sane response.
the vast majority of these 15 projects in recent years don't deserve to sell - not because the sellers tend to horse-whisper the whole 15 scene up but because the vast majority are shit-buckets when the rose-tints come off....
buses worth 5-8k at absolute best are now routinely placed at 12-15k...and don't sell for months and months...at which point the bitter 'Oh I'll keep it, I don't care, I'm easy' routine gets wheeled out...with a few smileys added for good measure...
..hopefully people are starting to wise up...would be nice of the sellers did too... |

But $80k is a pretty steep starting point. There is a buttload of stuff that needs to be completely redone. Of course, Jose could throw in a checkerboard floor and it would be sold offshore in minutes! _________________ "My biggest worry is that when I die, my wife will sell all my parts for what I told her I paid for them"-Jon

I wonder how hard it would be to roll it back fifty feet so we could see some photos that actually show us something? _________________ nothing |

A friend shows me this yesterday after noon.
http://inlandempire.craigslist.org/cto/4422402510.html
Then later that day I see this
http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=1625836
WOW!
I also have a good friend that saw this bus before it was painted
Lets just say fresh paint cant hide everything.
and in this case it doesn't. _________________

The first ad is gone for me, what was the price or details?
Grab a screen capture if you can still see it.
(hit print screen on your computer then paste it into any image program and save off) |
Sorry Everett,
It was being sold out of Hemet, Ca and ad was asking $9500 or best offer.
My inside sources tell me it was bought or traded for an 84 full size Chevy truck and two grand.
I'm in no way trying to bust up some ones hustle.(I get It) I just like to Warn! people when someone not being honest on what there selling. I have no doubt anyone that knows buses and takes the time to really look at this bus will pass. I understand that they welded angle iron under frame to brace and hold it together. _________________
