"Has some rust but not to bad at all"
Damn...that thing is scary. Think it isn't? Czech out the rust way up on the rear cargo door popout. _________________

I like the plastic fuel filter in the engine compartment resting on the engine tin.....plastic resting on metal......melty melty plastic, full of fuel, resting on hot metal.... Of course many of us know those shiny "chrome" tins are of the highest quality. I'm sure for $57k the guy took OG tins to get blasted then went to a serious chrome plater and had them done properly. _________________ Greg

Right? I thought it looked a lot cooler with the stripes, now it just looks dumb. |
I'm not getting it. Did he repaint it and then fauxtina it? Ruined a cool bus.
I was at Bullibrigade when Joe sold it. It was CHEAP by current prices. I was sorry I didn't step up. _________________ Founder and Chairman Emeritus, ECMSAS

The rack ads he just posted are just as bad and overpriced. |
The new ads are pure GOLD.

Me too. After reading the ad, you were the first person I thought of. Wish you had walked up first. It's amazing how a $5 can of spray paint can ruin something quick. |

...so are you saying Bekowa is the Gold standard and HWE silver...I would think Westfalia would be silver and HWE more like bronze..now Im really confused _________________ WWW.WESTCOASTBULLIES.COM

I was refering to metal racks. Bekowa being gold, Hwe being silver, and vwoa being bronze. Westy racks are wood slat racks which are usally always more desirable then metal as long as they are not re-pops |

"Most of the original parts in tact and repaired rather than replaced". Disk brakes, IRS, 2007 motor, home made camper interior. Wait, what were the original parts used again? _________________ 53 Hatch Barndoor

This is a mostly accurate ad, but I have NO idea where he got the 10 years in Newport Beach BS. Jeff Keller owned this bus from 1991 to 2011. Jeff and I restored it between 1998 and 2006 and drove it rarely after the resto. It didn't leave Dallas, Texas until 2011.
Here are pics of it when we took it to the Dallas "All British (and European) Car Day" in 2011. Yes, it's the same bus. I'd recognize that engine anywhere. It's got a straight cut cam gear. The seller also neglected to mention the Jeff Fields transaxle. Also note the original SOTO sticker in the bottom center of the rear window.
