Yes it has.. Funny how the same guys that used to laugh at me 20 years ago for driving a " slow ass POS vw bus" are all calling me now wanting to know where they can get one at a decent price. |

You'd figure if he painted his bus pink that he would have a more mellow demeanor |

Nice painted wiring.
The "no tires to kick" comment is too funny.
No wheels, not assembled, guessing it still needs almost everthing done mechanically, and a 68K asking price?
At least he did'nt put "offers" or "highest bid" in the price section.
Oh, nice description in the ad, Those 3 sentences were super informative. _________________ WANTED:

I think it might be SWR with bad lighting in the photo, but I am not positive. You have to suspect a restoration that they painted the fuses and wires the same color as the inside of the bus. I don't think the price is too bad if it is complete and just needs assembly and maybe a motor. But for the price, you would think he would have many more pics or a video. _________________ ~Tarzan

Shouldn't you put in the headliner before installing the skylights and other windows? Looks like a good bus and the price isn't that bad I suppose considering what it is if everything is there. _________________ "A rolling bus gathers no rust." |

I think anyone selling a repainted deluxe these days should have to post a pic of the m-plate in their ad...if it originally came with one. _________________

I don't know if I think thats a big deal or not - any full resto you're going to pull the harness out and replace with new (they are not that expensive)
from the rest of the pics, it looks like a could be a very nice bus when done _________________ Stop dead photo links! Post your photos to The Samba Gallery! |

I agree, but wouldn't you pull it before paint? If this corner was cut, what other corners were cut? Just raises a flag to dig deeper if I was a potential buyer, but not a deal killer.
If I was the seller, I would spend the 30 minutes to pull the old harness out and buy a new one to include in the sale. _________________ ~Tarzan

Yes. I assumed the buyer must have a 15 window to slap a roof and code on. That was the only way the buy made sense.
I guess the buyer is seeing things from a new perspective now and wants to unload.
I've had discussions on this site about profit and the result was sell a service for buses (do the work) or just flip em, cause there is very little dough in restoring one unless you have a complete bus and do the work yourself.
I hope the seller chimes in here - I am curious to know the thought process from the beginning. Fingers Crossed. |
