Maybe if it was NOS, but since Greg is making excellent reproductions, I think not. Maybe worth $350. _________________ ~Tarzan

I emailed this guy as it look like a Basalt Grey kick panel, which is not green.
$1000 is at least 3x overpriced, probably 4x.
Looking at past ads there was this exact kick panel for sale earlier this year at least twice.
One for $200 (ok condition) and one for $250 (looks super nice) this year. _________________ How to Post Photos

On the surface this looks like a good deal, I know the bus but I do not know the current owner:

This is the infamous Grant Harvey Sales bus, it used to sit on 4th St in downtown Albuquerque. Funny there's no mention of the fact that it used to be mid engine Chevy V-8 powered. _________________ still driving the holy snot out of buses |

They say brevity is the soul of wit, yet this isn't particularly funny - $220 for a weather-beaten 36hp engine case of unknown provenance?

He also says if you offer him to(o) low, he'll put you on his block list. So I'll offer the $14 it's worth- delivered. _________________

He does come across as a pretty big dick in his ads. His feedback looks a little spotty as well. Only 3 or 4 unhappy buyers, but still someone I'd be wary of buying from.
Don't send money as a gift for parts unless you trust the seller. Check feedback. |

Want to just give a offical whine about a truck for sale. I have personally seen this truck and it has a bent frame and/or someone kobbled the rear section back on (Hard to tell as there is so much cut up under the fuel tank area). Notice the lines down the side of the truck. The cab looks fine until you hit where the bed starts and the line slopes downhill from there. I drove 4 hrs to see it when it was in the hands of 2 owners ago (Paris, TX), then a guy in Alabama bought it (Actually ran into him and told him about it and he didn't realize what he just bought). Now I see the truck is in CA. All I'm saying is yes the truck can be fixed, but realize the work that needs to be done before you buy it.

FYI, I have pictures of the truck still so if your wanting to see the truck before all the bondo was applied let me know. |

I'd like to know where he's getting the 2nd lowest production vw ever. I can think of many other lower production vws than a 67 double cab |

i doubt it was about the 67 model year. however, they did not make double cabs from 1949 through 58.
so, short of specials like swivel seat sunroofs and such, crew cabs are much lower production than any other factory model. _________________ regards

So what you're saying is the 2nd lowest mass produced?? The other special ordered models are still factory produced. |

in a way, but, then again, i would not have put that either.
model 265 is model 265.
A panel with a sunroof is still a panel
as is a panel with DD
or walkthrough
or swivel seats
or no window in the rear hatch _________________ regards

I don't know if I would single double cabs out like that in comparison to other models, that's like saying all double cabs are more rare than all westies just because the westy has a kombi model number. A westy was a publicly offered bus. Or grouping all deluxe's together hardtop or sunroof.
If that's the case the double cabs need grouped with all trucks with model 26_
Plus this seller hasn't singled out on busses either, he states any production vw ever. That would include allot of vw's way more rare than vw produced double cabs |
