Come on guys, you're dropping the ball. This is obviously the Mitchell Clan from Tuscaloosa, you remember, right? Monica Mitchell from Alabama, who voluntary left the site. They are back with a new username (because the local Craigslist Ads are not selling).
They must have had someone tow the buses down from N.Y.
You folks need to pay close attention.

Remember Weatherly's post? Classic.
I am happy to see it is them, otherwise I would have missed a nice 23 window in my own backyard.
Monica - PM me I will give you 2K (edit - saw the pictures $400 and $200 for delivery) - if it checks out. Check done in my driveway. |

It looks like it even says "Mitchell" right on the side of that white trailer in one of the photos. They're not fooling anyone.

I just took a closer look at the engine bay shot and it doesn't appear that the PS panel with the VIN is even there. So, I retract my previous statement. It is not even a donor. It is just a pile of rust held together by paint and gravity. |
The reason it's so pricey is it's got the removable hardtop option. It can be seen here in their Craigslist ad: http://tuscaloosa.craigslist.org/cto/4878282861.html
Here it is in action! :

"This bus has been very ill, it's on GODS time."
Just a little customizing on one of Monica's best quotes from December.
Really though, once a repeat schister(sp) like MM has been made under a new username, is there any way their feedback thread can be easily linked to their earlier name they grifted under? I know this belongs in another forum Everett- _________________

New member, today. No prices. "I know what these are worth" attitude but won't post a price. "Do bother me with low-ball offers". High asking prices are bringing all types of "sellers" out of the woodwork. |

100 Picture history of restoration- Almost everything is brand new."
Then...
The list goes on and on …….
Is a show winner for sure….and your favorite daily driver!
BUT- The ENTIRE bus is covered in a truck bedliner coating:
Line-X Interior/and Exterior complete textured paint job- Lifetime Warranty; Resists Staining from Harsh Chemicals; Prevents Leaks, Rust and Corrosion; No Cracking, Bubbling, or peeling.
It's a red flag to see a nice shiny bus with a bedliner undercarriage, but this is insane:

Yes, this is someone who was already banned from the site.
They have been banned again and the people who have emailed on their 2 Buses have been contacted.
Their current profile and email have been linked to their old feedback thread. |
Ok I couldn't help it and emailed him for his best price.....reply:
"I have 3 , 2 21s and the 23 offers are at 65,000"
I reply:
Holy cow and your holding out for
More????????? Wow. You should take that and run as fast as you can.

the 23 is rare from her m plate . There are real collectors that pay for what they want. People are selling fakes for 20,000 and they are bare shells converted. Why isnt a real one rough worth the same as a fake? I got this buddy and thanks for stopping by. Try to find a 23 project anywhere in the world. You will find yourself at my door. Vintage car dealers apprasied her and she should bring 50.000 alone.

I knew this was a conversion the second I saw the front skylight windows. It's very hard (if not impossible!) to get the front skylight windows perfectly lined up. I had to re-clip my original 21 Window and it stuck out. Grumpy's has been doing these conversions for a while and those front skylight windows aren't right.

This poor bus is having an identity crisis, Kombi (or westy?) done up to look like a deluxe, complete with bay window middle seat...

I would automatically assume these are lies.
Even if the bare converted shells are selling $20K, they don't need $30K of rust repair and are actually fixable

suggest to him to try to get his money back, this is just like buying real state, if you bought a property with violations on it, those violations become your violations. |

The other one on his site looks pretty good to me. It is too bad we really cannot have a good discussion on this site regarding conversions. What works, what does not, what a potential buyer should look at. There are a lot of them being done...
I remember my old 23 front skylight glass not sitting perfectly level (real bus), it became a huge pet peeve of mine to look at this on every 23. The fronts are tough with the extra compound curves.
