the next gen will collect only the most special versions and only for parade or museum type situations........gonna be interesting to watch for sure |
Highly disagree. Classic cars hold a heritage and story that new cars can't hold. petroleum isn't going anywhere, and even if it did, we would find new ways to keep these busses running. I do not want a fully electric vehicle myself. Classics will always be classics. |

Our time using wood as a fuel source... few thousand years (but is still used around the world)
Our time using coal as fuel (upgrade) .... Several hundred years (but still used around the world)
Our time using petroleum... only ~100 years
You really think we're getting off petroleum any time soon? (Laugh)
We have a very hard time weaning ourselves. _________________ aka: Evan

Electric is the future, but we have not had that penultimate 'lightswitch' moment that lets technology take hold near universally. Elon Musk is trying hard, but we're not there yet. One day no one heard of the internet, next day, we couldn't live without it. It happens quick and when the switch comes to electric, it will seem soo obvious. Same for self driving cars. (And like all technology first adopters, there will always be the neo-luddites who eschew it).

I agree completely. "One owner" cars usually sell for a premium because it is assumed that the original owner took care of it better than having multiple owners and an unknown history. This POS is so wasted that being a one owner bus is irrelevant. But down't waste the seller's time with low ball offers. _________________ ~Tarzan

ok so you see an add with something you want at a good price, no pic. You email the user right away, "I'm interested, send pic".
You get email back day later saying add updated with pics....and oh by the way I jacked the price up by 250%.....$200 OG now $500.

I guess pay $1 more a gallon for 100% gas if you are lucky to have a station nearby that sells it. You can still get real gas in a lot of towns/cities, at least for now.

Here's Tesla using diesel generators to recharge its cars at a "Supercharger" station. Hey, the energy to charge those electric cars has to come from somwhere!

From what I can tell, it was a one owner car when the current seller bought it.
and dragged it onto his trailer:
Now it is on its second owner.
You can be the third owner. _________________ The Obsolete Air-Cooled Documentation Project http://oacdp.org/ |

I love this add....
http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=1785630
"1964 Grateful Dead Bus"
-- didnt know the dead were marketing VW Buses now
"A true colorado bus."
-- you do remember that VW plant in Colorado right??
"One of a kind patina, comes with all parts to make complete"
--except rear and middle seats
-- no engine
-- no title
"Have a bill of sale from mechanic garage."
--will it have the price you paid for it so then i can see $8,000-$9,000 profit you are trying to get
"I am pretty firm on price. Compared to all the rotton pos buses in Arkansas, Georgia, N. Carolina, Florida, NY."
--never buy a bus in any of these states cause they all are POS..!!
"my bus is a Colorado bus that is way more solid,"
--all the good buses are in colorado
there should be a class "creating a VW Bus Ad 101" for some people .... plus now anyone that has a bus thinks they own gold...geez |
