I have two choices and i need some help deciding which one i should pick.
1. I could buy a dune buggy one that needs work for 1500. see my other post. http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=151142
I could get that car or
2. I have been offered a mold to make dune buggy bodies. It is something like the pic...
This mold is ready to go becides needing alittle buffing. I can get this mold for 300.00. I know fiberglass threw and threw. I have worked at a boat plant for the last 3 years. I have a guy that works with me that wants to do this with me he has owned his own boat business where he made his own boats... So the knowledge is there.
What i would like to know is rather there is still a demand for these bodies. If made how hard would it be to sell them. Say if i could make them really high quality could I sell them for around 7-800.00
What is the demand for these bodies? could i sell them? Where could i sell them. Any Ideas

Get the molds. I would be surprised if anyone would pay 8-9000 for a fiberglass body. _________________ The honey-do list put my project on hold....... |

| If you have the space to do this, I say go for it. Build a few and see how they sell. Im seeing more and more of them on the streets in my area lately. (So Cal) |

My bad. If you can make them and some profit for $700-800 go for it. The only place to get bodies on the east coast or mid west is Berrrien. I think you could make some $$. _________________ The honey-do list put my project on hold....... |
