That pan is super clean looking. How difficult is it to remove a hia body from a pan? Like a beetle? I'm looking into a 71 myself, and a pan up resto would be great. _________________ 67 Ghia coupe, Retired military.

I hope you don't have the carbs balanced, because they're going to have to be removed when you put the body back on the pan. Are you keeping the body the same shade of green? _________________ West Virginia State Board of Education v. Barnette, 319 U.S. 624 (1943) |

rusty57, it's just like a bug, not to hard to remove body from the pan but don't forget the aft body mount bolt that are at the top of the rear shock mounts. it also helps to remove the stick shifter so that you don't have to lift the body so high, use 4 to 5 people becouse the body will be stuck to pan. Icy yes the carbs are comming back off again, I just put them on to get then off my bench. thanks for the tip. yea maybe just a shade darker on that green color. |
