Hi, this is the engine I will be putting in my cali 66 square in a couple of weeks, I need to order a damper pipe for it before I fly out to cali.

Do I need the early or late style for this exhaust box?

And what is that thing that apears to be welded to the bttom right corner?

Any one have a used correct damper for me PM please.

Very Happy

Looks early to me.

The right bottom corner has a heater elbow but it doesn't look welded on.

Wow, he even has the rubber plug in the timing hole. That is probably a low miles engine.
That is an early style tail pipe/damper pipe. The 2 piece one.
BTW, not to steal the thread, but I need the clamp for the late model one where it attaches to the muffler. Don't even need the bolts, just the 2 halves of the bigger clamp.
