everything out back works fine.

1966 or earlier? Yes. Maybe 1967 as well, but I think those stay on.

It's the way they were designed. In reviewing my info, 1968 was the first year that parking lamps staying on with headlamps was mandated.

uups, mine does the same. I always thought that I have a bad switch. Is the 68 and up switch the same?? or has it more terminals to connect the lights in a different way?
