As for the vent on the oil filler, a hose/tube goes to that, below the tin to the ground? Do you put a filter on the end or anything to keep the underside nice? I need to do something similar for my build...
and how did you run those plugs wires? |
Breather is going to be in the right rear fender area, while the oil cooler is in the left rear. As for the plug wires they go out through the bottom of the fan shroud below the alt stand.... _________________ Kevin "Coolrydes" Zagar

Gary Berg 1904. The attention to detail is top notch.

Here is picture of my current 2332cc engine with IDA's. I had a magneto on it before but decided to modernize the ignition system and went with a full msd setup. Loved the look of the mag just had a few downsides..

Been torn down a couple times since running these, nice signs of wear. To each their own.

Thanks Eric! your fitting worked great btw! I agree with you Glen..I have socks I put over the stacks when driving around but the car is a weekend warrior and only sees 2-3k miles per year. On the other hand, if I drove it as many miles as your car, I WOULD definitely have air cleaners of some sort. |

The mag was cutting spark around 6800-7000 rpm. Also, the auto meter rev limiter wasn't accurate at all. The other part was that we couldn't get a torque reading on the dyno because of the magnetic field. Would have loved to see the torque reading. We got to 195hp at the wheels at 7k and it still had a lot left in it. |

i had problems with the auto meter signal convertor for the tach and just found a tach on a hot rod site stack st 200 clubman tachometer which states it can be used with a magneto ignition I'm going to try that nice hp I'm sure you can get more out of it ! i also have an old auto meter magneto tach but the wiring seems to be for a v8 where the loop to go around the mag wire is close to the firewall so i don't think it would work _________________ "dumbass" red foreman if you paint an engine case you probably forgot the tin |
