Those look pretty nice.

So can we get any replacement parts? I need some wheels for my mini.

Nice paint job, well done! How did the painting of the lettering go? Laughing
Did you use any new parts (beside the rubbers)?

The lettering requires a lot of patience... and frustration. The only new parts are the rubbers, top mat (original Hazet) and rivets. The rest is all original. Wheels, casters, bolts, nuts, chains are re-zinc-plated and the uprights and locking bars hand polished.

I have a pair of used wheels in decent condition. The ones you can order new from Hazet look different. Hazet still sells the 1960 onwards rubber but only with black rubber insert (part number 160-013). They also sell the rubber top mat (part number 160-012) and the chains (part number 160LG-01)

Hi, I´m planning a restauration of my Hazet Tool Cart this Winter. Did anybody know this type of Assistant Tool Cart?

The fist time I saw a similar one was years ago. The Owner told me that this Type was exclusively made by Hazet for VW Garages in the 1950s and early 1960s. They were not sold to Consumers so you can´t find information in common Hazet catalogues.

Somebody painted my Tool cart in dark blue on the outside. But as you can see it´s painted in typical Hazet Blue on the inside. The sliding lammelars on both sides were alternating in dark blue / Hazet blue as shown on Picture 2 .

I would be grateful for any information !

Pretty unique type of Assistent! Didn't know this one, if it's really a Hazet.

Hi Oilfinger (again Wink ),

I´ll send you some more photos the coming week, but here a first glance.

There quite no informations to find as these you already got. Yes, it was made by Hazet and yes for VW Garages.

More would be speculation, but it could have these "doors" because it could have been used in the paint shop of the Garage (as there exist some 172s which were similar sealed), to prevent the area and the tools from dust, etc.

Maybe someday I find a number or the drawing to date it properly...

Wow, thats fast ! Thanks again for counseling ! Laughing

Now i´m out hazetet. Currently no more questions about Hazet specialities.

It´s seems to be a lot of work to make it clean and shiny again.

I know that sealed 172 HD too. As far as i can remember it was manufactured exclusively for DuPont.

Looking forward to your Photos of that Hazet VW Garage Cart!

Kind regards
