You have the remains of a '67 or older steering column. All T-3's came from the factory with a locking column. Someone has removed the factory ignistion switch and mounted an aftermarket one someplace else. _________________ Society is like stew. Stock steering column needed!!! That is too bad, It sure would be nice to have it stock. Oh well, at least it still works (without the locking part). Are these columns super rare, or are they still around in enough numbers to make them affordable? Hector _________________ 67 Ghia coupe, Retired military.

If you find an early column with a good ignition switch, grab it. Good ones of those are like hens teeth. I have seen NOS switches go for over $400. _________________ Society is like stew. If you don't keep it stirred up, you end up with a lot of scum on the top!--Edward Abbey

Yeah, but because I was broke, Lee Hedges ended up with one for €57,36 the other day:

I have a little money now, but it doesn't help at this point _________________

I sold my complete one last week to someone in the USA.
I have one left with NOS lock.
I can sell the lock itself though.
And they are indeed rare and difficult to overhaul. The electrical part is made of bakelite. Prone to crack !
