I have bought from CB numerous times. The only time I had any sort of a problem was some miscommunication on an order. Problem was resolved and order sent. Quality products and very helpful.

Not my mistake. I canceled my order, and will not be ordering from them again.

A shame, because I like the products I have bought from them so far.

You would think such a large company would take care of their loyal customers.

Buy CB stuff directly from Serrano. He offers great customer service.

I'd like to see some proof, before I concur with your accusation...

Dave, you are definitely right, they must be doing something right
to be around so long. They make great products and stand behind them.

Now on the other hand, if your statement is completely true,
how is it GEX still in business? Smile

Still seeing nothing to back up this thread's claim...we can't offer advice if the poster doesn't provide more than blanket BS claims (that's all they are until they're provided backing).

So...are you mad because you feel they were rude, or because they didn't give you something for nothing?

I would like to add that I ordered a linkage kit last week and was short a few parts and one phone call took care of it. The sales rep I talked to on the phone was right on the problem and made things right, I'll be buying more dellorto stuff in the future from CB performance.

I've purchased parts from Claudes (CB Perf) for the past 25 years on the wholesale end and now I pay retail as I'm out of the business end...
I've had only a couple issues that I recall and they were resolved quite professionally. I have experienced a little attitude from time to time but hey salespeople are human too and can have bad days..
IMHO The true measure of a successful business and salesforce is how a transaction is handled after the sale and especially if problems arise..
Customers are not always right but you MUST treat them with respect and courtesy at all times if you want repeat business.

Off topic: My Berg experiences set the benchmark in customer service for all others to try to achieve...

i ordered both wide five disc brake kits from cb. i have ordered hundreds of dollars worth of parts directly from them and serrano as well. one day the rear axle nut came loose after thousands of freeway miles and the splines on the rear hub got chewed. i called and marianne said she would talk to rick and see how much to charge me for the hub only. she said she would get back to me by monday- it was friday. she called my work on saturday to tell me it would be $75. then someone else at the shop said "no it's gonna be more than that". rick stepped in and gave it to me for $75 for being a loyal customer. it was his decision from the get go, and someone else was trying to charge me retail. i have read another complaint about them doing the same thing at a booth for tire prices.

in this instance they made a mistake, but changed it in my favor because i bought from them directly and was loyal. i think CB's problem is that too many people are in the mix. on the other hand, at least they aren't too corporate to care.

seabuggy- thanks for the advice on the wideband, i'm welding the o2 bung in my exhaust right now

Ohhh I think it was around 98'-99' I ordered some 044 "Make your day" heads for my 1776 I was getting built. Got it together, broke it in like I was told to, went on a trip and the heads fu**ed up on me. Would not start etc. made it home, my mechanic tore down the motor to see what was up. The heads were messed up. I do not remember now what it was, but called CB and they sad "Well we knew we sent out some bad heads, just not sure to who". Ouch, that hurt. They did send out new heads and I have been using the same ones with no prob in my third car now. A lot of work to get them, but great once I did.

Four months after I ordered and installed a set of carbs I noticed that I was missing the venturi set screw on one of them.

I sent an email on Sunday afternoon and by Monday morning the missing screw was on the way with no questions asked.

I would definitely order from CB Performance again.

I've bought a bunch of CB parts from local suppliers and have always loved the great quality. Called twice for minor tech support questions and was treated like I was an IRS agent. Figured it out myself, but I still love their parts!!!

HA!!! i got a set of those heads too about the same time period...

CB did replace both of them "seat fell out of the head ended up half wrapped around a valve... and pounded into what used to be the opening for the seat... Great unhappiness i think it took a piston with it... cant remember any more.

Ive been a bit dissapointed lately... they raped me on shipping rates numerous times, one time 35 dollars for a box that should cost about 12 max to ship "i complained they took 10 off" Also bought a pair of wedge ports a year ago, they charged me 9XX dollars and didint deliver for 2 months, i called after a month to enquire and was told oh sorry theyre out of stock... as i was looking at a credit card bill...

I placed my first order with CB Performance last week, Monday January 7th..

Just a few small items.. A shift coupler, a steering coupler, some tie rod ends, and an OEM Transmission mount, and then I figured I'd add on a couple of their speed shop shirts as I like the look of them.

My order showed up in record time, to Ontario Canada.. Got it today Tuesday January 15th, and was disappointed to see that my package was missing the OEM transmission mount, but the invoice that they packed in the box clearly says that it was charged to my card.. The worst part is on the invoice it has hand checked off boxes written by an employee there stating that the item was packed in the box. But the box isn't even big enough to fit the mount in, so it's obvious that it was never there. Someone that filled the box just checked it off by mistake, or forgot to put it in the box and shipped it away.

I am going to call them tomorrow and see what can be done this situation, if anything.

I have my old mount next to the box right now, and it cant even fit in the box that the shipped everything in, so with any luck they will believe my story and ship it over, with no fees to me.

We'll soon see..

-Alex

the complaints i've seen here seem very minor. remember humans are packing the boxes, mistakes can be made. i recently took a cruise (3 hrs.) up to cb to pick up a bunch of stuff for my bug. rick treated us like kings, gave us a full tour of the shop and i left happy with $1300 worth of new toys and a couple of free shirts! cb performance is top notch. even in a perfect world, shit happens!

I contacted CB this morning to tell them about the missing mount, the lady that answered the phone was very pleasent and se said that she'd look into it and have someone call me back. No less than an hour later a man by the name of Daniel phoned me back to let me know how sorry he was for the mistake, and that the mount has been packaged up and shipped right out.

I am 100% satisfied with my purchase from CB, and EXTREMELY satisfied with the quality of the parts i received.

I will be doing business with them again soon.

I would like to give a big thanks to the guys from CB. I was dealing with Serranos earlier this year and was having a very hard time. I was getting the old....it's been shipped story....for almost 2 months. Anyway, after a post in the forums calling Serranos out....they finally admitted that they never ever even processed my order. Anyway, I did get my money back....good on them.....it only set my project back 2 months...lol!
Anyway, Rick had seen my post and contacted me offering to help me out. I got my parts from him at a great price and it was at my door here in Vancouver BC within 4-5 days.
From my experience, the guys at CB Performance are great guys and I have and will continue to buy from them in the future
Thanks
Gerry
