The key is to ride around quietly contemplating and listening and the van will eventually tell you. But it has to be ready. Sometimes Volkswagens make you wait a while before telling you their name. _________________ HerrBGone

Just got my Projektzwo fogs installed today-
They look cool from a few feet away and in all the pics I have seen, but honestly they look a little strange when you are right up on them still pretty cool though. They don't fit all that great either, kinda like an EMPI part ( if you have ever done aircooleds you know what I mean)
I also got the "city" lights wired in today as well. I still could not find correct bulb socket for my missing one, and hella does not sell parts so I would have to buy new lenses. So I used some sort of universal rubber holders like used on the aftermarket front signals, they are also used in those generic H4 conversion bulbs that are avail. I found a set on rabbit in the junkyard and heisted the city lights out of them. They fit snug in the holes in the lenses and then I used high temp RTV to "seal the deal" I wired those direct into the ignition so they are always on with the key. Anyone know if they should not be one when the bulbs are (for heat reasons etc..)?
Now all I need is to install that Winzer fiberglass spoiler and get a Hannover designated europlate for the front and my ride will be complete, at least for the visual part-still deciding on what I am going to use for lowering etc... _________________ Markus

Yea, they are like $350 or somthing like that new (if they are still avail) I got them used for 2 bills site unseen But they guy came through, they are in real good shape and the tabs weren't broken like most of them.
Drove back from the Orlando show last night with them on. We took some back roads to get back, you could actually see the Fear in the Possums eyes right before I flattened him out on the desolate part of state road 64. It was a smooth smooshing, the van took it like a champ _________________ Markus

Recently purchased this 1980 Vanagon Westy, my first Vanagon, so I will be spending some time this Spring giving it a little TLC and surface rust control. It will be mainly used to get to mountain biking locations and the too infrequent fly-fishing trip. _________________ "Two things are infinite: The universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe."
