I'm not sure what the starting price was nearly 26K views ago, but $37.5K for this bus may not be a smoking deal, but it looks like a nice bus for the money in the ad pics. Some drivetrain pics and description would've been nice though.
Maybe this is yet another example of the so-called softening market on shiny buses?

A buddy of mine had it negotiated down to $8500 and backed out because it was pretty crusty |

I wonder about this bus also. Seems like it's been for sale way too long. I agree it looks decent from the pics, maybe someone who's seen it can shed some light? |

I haven't seen it in person myself but this seller usually lists vehicles as "ASK" in the price field so it may have been much higher in the past or the lack of a price may have resulted in other issues that affected the sale.
My experience is putting a price on something rather than OFFER or ASK decreases both time-wasting emails and time to a sale. _________________ How to Post Photos

I bought this middle seat and I really am stoked because it was way less money than they cost normally. Does anyone know what year it is and what color bus its for? Also what color is that called and can I get new covers that are correct?

Would the fact that it is Como Green limit it to a 64 model year? Turkis was not available in 65. |

^^Sweet seat score! I only find bay seats, not that there's anything wrong with that.

Yes, it's '64 only due to the heat seams and Como Green color.
The frame is the same 58-66 though.
Did you get the rear seat too?
I thought the guy had both? _________________ How to Post Photos

Thanks for the reply's, I'm thrilled to have one. I don't have the correct bus for it but I want to sit in it and watch movies like in the middle seat thread. _________________ 1971 Deluxe Sunroof Bay 1905 stroker, dual idf40's, 74mm Scat forged crank, engle 110 cam. Russ gave me the moving special on a 1776, big nut tranny, redux box parts, and heater boxes. Thanks Russ!

Yesterday this guy posted his 59 westy for 16 grand and I immediately emailed him but he never responded. The add disappeared and he posted it as a wanted interior ad. Now the pics are gone but it was solid and I expect he had a ton of people asking for it. http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=1954088 _________________ 1971 Deluxe Sunroof Bay 1905 stroker, dual idf40's, 74mm Scat forged crank, engle 110 cam. Kinda looks weird with the shiny cargo area rather than the stock flat primer. Gives the bus a hosed down with paint look. Cool bus anyhow! |
