Ok, I'm in the club. I just picked up an 87 westy. It runs nice, but needs a little work cosmeticaly. Can anyone recomend a wrecking yard near my area where I can pick up some misc. parts pretty cheap? Most are not camper specific, but if I could find somewhere with a camper or two even better. |

not really superuseful, but saw 3 vanagons (all non-westys) in rancho cordova (past sacramento) at foriegn auto dismantlers. most of the interiors gutted, but great doors, windows and rear hatches. also, many, many vw's of similar vintage in the reg. auto sction, including some seats, etc. i make the trip from esseff to there cause the have many old bmws to pikandpull from.
also, many non-pickandpull places there like bavarian dismantlers that can get ya anything. |

I'm parting out a regular 86 vanagon in Oakland, what are you looking for, otherwise Pick and pull varies from week to weeek.
Thanks, Paul. |

Here is a short list of what I am looking for. I'm sure I'll need more, but haven't had the time to write everything down:
It's got the grey interior w/ the black dash and plastic.
plastic around steering column
ash tray
1 rear ac vent
plastic piece for interior light switch
sliding door interior panel |
