Just thought this was a cool photo of a double rainbow coming down on two VW's in the backyard.

I can testify for that crazy back yard!

I can feel the cold coming in up here in the PNW. Soon we will have some snow pics for sure. Ill have to try to make sure I dont brake a leg this time around Rolling Eyes

Take a hike up a bit out of Alpental, you'll hit snow Smile Or head up to camp Muir if you feel adventurous.

where are those camping places at? im adventurous to say the least....

Take I90 to Tinkham rd and you can camp in the Forest or at a campground there. You can follow Tinkham to the Asahel Curtis trail, if you cross over 90 again you can follow Denny Creek to another campground. drive up the Mt to Alpental and you can hike back there as well.

Camp Muir is base camp for Rainier summits (about 10k ft up Wink )

sweet! i know right where you speak of about tinkham. thank you sir!

rainier sounds like a blast! add that to the list...

If I recoup better I want to hit the Muir base camp, just to say I did it. I would also like to get to the top of Rainer as well. Some day. I just dont think the roads are good enough to the top of the mountain to drive the old 77 up there for a camp Wink

Laughing

When I was in Hawaii two weeks back we went to the north shore on Hawaii where the black sand beach is. You have to hoof it down. I was a bit freaked out and worried like a little old man that I would slip and um break a leg. Hoofing it back up and out I thought I was going to have a heart attack! Talk about out of shape fat bastard Shocked So the rethink of what I need to do to be healthy, wealthy and wise is in full effect.

If you had more school you would realize why wishing for more school would have been the good thing. Cool

Ow.

Sunday we hiked high rock and cougar rock, Monday we got up early and hiked from Paradise to camp Muir and back. 4.5 miles one way with a little over 5,000 ft elevation gain. Ow, ow, ow. I almost had to call in to work today. Fortunately no blisters (aside from my right palm due to a worn grip on my hiking pole), though my wife ran out of water (she did not fill her pack like I told her) so I ended up drinking melt water from streams Rolling Eyes
