Nice, and thats still w/o the lsd, huh? Did you have to try a couple times to get up some slopes? I like to do the same thing, but have been weary of taking the bus through that type of trail without a skid plate and lsd. The last thing I want to do, is be a burden to other offroaders if I can't get up a hill or get stuck. _________________ 84 Wolfsburg Edition Westy |

it was a few feet off a main path, looked like a jeep picture spot or something. the first pic when my nose is up, i had one wheel break free so i smacked the brakes and took a pic, then backed up, got a couple more mph and made it over the top pretty easy...it wasnt all that hard...just looks super knarly! Lynn (brown hightop) was about 100 feet away and said it looked like a syncro move from the bottom of the hill
yep, gonna go get my transmission today if i can actually! _________________ Stuart Zickefoose

That is awesome! You'll have to test it out and let us know how it goes! I'm stoked to read your review of using lsd. _________________ 84 Wolfsburg Edition Westy |

thanks! glad you like it!
one of these days ill get a better camera to get good, clear, HQ pics like Eric Arnold (EZgruv) does...he can make a POS bus look like a calendar worthy shot in my opinion.
until then...cell phone pics
if you wanted to see a few more shots of the same place, with different angles, i posted more here:

definately gonna be posting up my thoughts. still a gamble on if the LSD i bought was good when i got it last year...seller said so but only testing it will show for sure. got a few things to grab still before install and im good to go:
to get:
Thing CV joints (22* cv joints to be installed on the bus axles)
redline MTF 90w GL4 per builder (matt and AA transaxle) suggestion
have:
HD clutch (have one installed already, just got a new one)
pilot bearing
throw out bearing
flywheel seal
rear main seal
resurfaced and no groove on the back flywheel
lock washer and endplay on flywheel
transmission with LSD installed
need:
time to install slowly and without any outside distractions....
want:
horseshoe plates and lift spindles for get 3-4 inches higher.... _________________ Stuart Zickefoose

My wife and I just took our 74 Jurgens Autovilla on its maiden road trip after a year-long restoration, to the Kruger National Park.

Not afraid of rain. I'm set for rain. Big buddy for heat. Enclosed canopy I can use as a side door drive away or back end family room. It's the FN work schedule. You know what I'm talking about
