East Texas is twice the size of Oklahoma, there out there. Month ago I pulled that mouse grey out of East Texas (Diana), and it was the worst rust I've ever seen. The coastal air and pine needles ate it up bad. |

Brought home three pop-top campers in one week. T1 T2 T3. Sold the bay window, still have the Vanagon, but this is the one we all want to see. East coast rust sucks.
Couple more pix in my gallery.

Sorry to back up a week, but looking around I don't think GTV was correct. It looks like they are complete different companies. So any recommendations on which is best: durable long term and closest looking to original? _________________ BreckSkier

For me, the fun is hunting, finding, and then working out the deal. What a day fellas, what a great day! Been working this one (sight unseen) for over a year. Today was the day. Just working my way to that 23 window CB/SWR Bus.
Now the hard part starts - I am taking the wife out shopping and to dinner right after I click the Submit button. |

Really? More than once I've bought upholstery from WW, it came with a TMI tag sewn to it. _________________ EMPI Power Rules! |

of course they are completely different companies, but WW sells TMI products. TMI is one of the only companies that actually produces interior parts. WestCoastClassic also does interiors, but of much higher quality than TMI. _________________ drive your split. |

This thread is always a good read, keep the rescues coming.
I have thought about this many times over the years, one of the buses manufacturing flaws is the rain gutter. If they, the factory would have folded over and crimped the drip rail like the bug has, so may of the buses with rusted out roofs could have been stopped. Trying to keep paint on the MICRO thin edge, (pun intended) is vitualy impossible, and if you do it will burn off in short order, rust starts and migrates down and back up the roof ...keep hunting and saving |

Made a deal on this one today. Hoping to pull it out in the next week or so. It has been used as a shed for 25 years
