I sold the DD WT Panel to help us get our house. I still have the 15 window. I've been doing small things on the bus but not much. I wasted a bunch of time this summer in my new garage sidetracked on my Rabbit. I Just sprayed the missing door this fall to make it match better than sea blue..

That was my thought as well.
That bus is so rusty that some of the hardcore barn door restorers would look at it and say "oh, hell no" to trying to save it! _________________ Contact me at [email protected]

ANYTHING can be saved. Does it make sense to a flipper? No. My 23 was nearly that bad. Well maybe 5 years less bad. It's together and straight now, I kinda cheated a little, a dry, but butchered 1963 Kombi is that one gave up its life- to save a pressed bumper 23.
I'd put it back.
Too bad about the glass.

Gibbs took me to that bus once. It was in a junkyard. There was no one home though. |

Unlikely Gibbs has seen that one, but you never know he's everywhere! It was on private property near Utica New York. I had to buy the 15 window and remove it before I could take this one. |

Nice kombi. Don't let others lure you away from potential metal. Luckily you had $$$ and a trailer + time to get what you wanted. Judging by the pic. _________________ Arachibutyrophobia- Fear of peanut butter sticking to the roof of the mouth.

On the positive side, it has some usable glass. And it appears to be a 23. Not real happy about the relocated front axle, though.

WOW! That one might actually be worse Gibbs. Close but different. Hopefully someone has taken the time to rescue what's left of that one too! |
