Where do the Speedwell badges I see for sale all the time go on a Beetle if at all? Here is a pic I borrowed from the classifieds:

No place in particular, afaik. Speedwell was an English performance tuning company started under that trading name in 1957. Most of their work centred around the A series & B series BMC engines, though they did make a few tuning parts for the VW (rear camber compensator for example), as welll as a few other UK sports car manufacturers.
The badges & labels were a generic and could be placed where-ever the owner or mechanic wanted.

There's a bunch of reproductions out there... the real ones have some writing on the back, of which I can't remember what it says, something LTD I think.

I remember seeing a Speedwell bonnet badge, a small one that fits at the bottom of the bonnet trim
I cant remember who was selling them, does anyone have any ideas.
