I'm getting a baja (a '69 on a '73 pan) but it only has a 5 gallon tank, one of those cylindrical aluminum ones. Seeing as this is going to be my daily driver, that's not so great. I'm not going to be racing it, or doing any crazy offroading, I'm way too much of a chickenshit to be in any danger of rolling it or hitting anything. I'm also a starving college student. I'm curious what my cheapest useable option is for a larger tank, hopefully at least 10 gal. I found some polyethylene ones for pretty cheap, wondering if those are alright...also how about some sort of gas gauge?
Thanks!
And oh yeah, I tried searching but didn't have any luck. Seems like everyone here already knows what they're doing and don't need to ask silly questions such as mine. |

Stock tank works great for my daily driven, weekend trail ride. _________________ Les

So I've heard. I'll have to post pics after I get it tomorrow, but I'm not sure how a stock tank will fit with the way the front end is...guess it'll have to wait till tomorrow. Looking at getting them new though, the stock ones are more expensive than the ones I found here... http://www.dansperformanceparts.com/buggy/fuel/buggyfuel1.htm |

Yeah, post pics of the original fuel tank location, it'll help.
I know used tanks are easy enough to find around here... _________________ Les
