Go to Costco it's anywhere from 20-30 cents cheaper per gallon. Very Happy

What if Costco is 45 miles away? Is it still worth the drive?

The downside of living in Idaho I suppose. Razz

For me it's right around the corner, and they sell beer too.

Same here, and it still takes 45 minutes to get there. Laughing

HAHAHA! I'll take candle light and an outhouse before SoCal traffic any day. Laughing

Depends where you live here. The westside of LA I avoid like the plague. It's not so bad where I am (the Costco is 15 min. away and actually a few miles) but my humble hometown is basically the size of Pocatello. So, yeah, a bit different than Idaho.

It is nice that we can all make the choice of where we want to be, and what level of chaos/sophistication/indoor plumbing we want to deal with. Everything we have mentioned is a trade-off for something else. If we could all have it all, there would be nothing left to have.

Profound, or have I just not yet had enough coffee? Laughing

That or I haven't had enough beer. Wink

Filled up at Costco for $1.98. This may be the last time under $2.00 for a while; OPEC got their cartel mojo back and cut production 5%, leading to an instant 10% increase in the price of crude.

Still hovering at $2.45-ish around here. Not for long, I'm sure.

It's been at $2.65 for awhile now. I'm always hoping it will go down.

Hovering somewhere between 2.01 and 2.08 depending on which part of town you're in. It's also higher near the bridge to Canada, as the gas stations still gotta gouge the Canadians. Rolling Eyes

London - £1.15 per litre.

So that's about $1.43 if you convert it. So in terms of gallons you're looking at about 3.75 x 1.43 = $5.36 per gallon.

Pretty steep!

Customer told me the other day he filled up in Seattle @ $1.19 USD/Gal. and then when he got back home to Victoria BC he paid $1.19 CDN/Ltr.
I'm not doing the conversion, but it ain't good.

$2.07 today. I'm in the market for a new car, and I took a hard look at the Chevy Bolt. I love the idea of a zero emission vehicle powered by local energy sources, but I just can't justify it with gas so cheap. It would save maybe $700 a year in fuel costs. After the $7,500 government subsidy, that little box for a net $30K just doesn't compete with what you can get in a conventional car.

Still hanging at $2.45 around here. 25 to 30 cents cheaper a few miles south out of the tourist gouge borderline.

On the topic of fuel economy. I recently met a carpenter on a job that was driving a Chevy Astro van for work. I have been contemplating a change to one of these vans for my own use, so I asked him a few questions about his. When I asked him about the fuel economy, he said "I find that all fuel tanks get empty eventually, so I just fill it back up and keep going."

An interesting quote from a 30-something family man carpenter that came back from lunch so stoned he could hardly speak.
